Defining Taxonomy Extensions

Continue by identifying the line items which should be used to map the figures and texts on your annual financial report. Line items represent accounting concepts on the lines of a financial statement. Non-tabular statements typically have financial periods in their columns (Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income and Statement of Cash Flows) whereas the statements comprising of XBRL tables define their columns using member elements (Statement of Changes in Equity).

Define the taxonomy extension on the Extension sheet.

Maximum of two empty rows are allowed between the extension rows. If you want to insert more empty rows, comment them by inserting "/*" to the first column (column A).

If writing directly to the cell, insert ' as the first character before "/*".

Do not use any conditional formatting on the Extension or Mapping sheets as it will be overwritten. Every time you click the save-packageReport Package button, the conditional formatting on the Extension and Mapping sheets is refreshed in order to fix formatting that has been broken when editing the sheets. Normal cell formatting will not be overwritten.

In case of technical difficulties with any of the properties of the application such as conditional formatting, you can disable them using the Options Literal.
