Input Template Calculation (ITC)
In input template calculation, an input template is automatically opened and saved for the defined dimension and unit combinations. The input template calculation function is generally used by administrative users when re-calculation is needed due to an error (for example, if a currency rate or formula has changed in the template).
The function is available for the input template if it has been defined in the task settings. The settings for the calculation can be defined in the task settings in the User Role UI or User Interface view (refer to an example and descriptions of the parameters in Clausion User Interface Task Parameters).
Input template calculation always saves all rows except zero lines regardless of the definition file settings. Input template calculation is not done to locked periods.
Running input template calculation
-
On the Basic Options tab, select the dimensions and units for which you want to perform input template calculation. Depending on the task settings, it may be possible to select several units for one dimension (by holding down the CTRL key). This setting is dimension-specific.
Note that input template calculation is performed only to the selected units if the <dimensionselector> settings have not been defined for the dimension. To generate other combinations, define the <dimensionselector> settings in User Role UI or User Interface for the dimension (refer to Clausion User Interface Task Parameters).
Click
Input Template Calculation. The Input Template Calculation dialogue box opens showing a list of dimension and unit combinations that will be calculated. This list is generated based on the task settings (refer to Clausion User Interface Task Parameters). If you want to hide the list, click Hide.
Click Start to start the calculation. The status of the calculation of the individual dimension combinations is shown in the Status column. The status of the whole calculation is shown in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
If you want to cancel the calculation while it is running, click Abort. The calculations that had already been finished or started are saved to the database.
After the calculation has been completed, a message is shown in the dialogue box. If any errors occur during the calculation, a list of errors is displayed. The errors are listed according to error groups.
Monitoring input template calculation status
You can monitor the status of input template calculations and delete log entries of calculations using the Input Template Calculations (ITC)Status custom template.
The template displays all completed calculations (whether failed or successful) for all users. You can limit the displayed data by filtering the columns. To delete log entries, enter "X" in the Delete ITC calculation column and save.
