Viewing Unit and Data Type Connections

Location: Units (task ID: DimensionMntYearly)

You can filter the unit tree by data types:

• To view only those units that are connected to the selected data type, dimension, year and hierarchy, select a data type from the Data type view drop-down list. The drop-down list options include those data types that are connected to the selected dimension (see Modifying Dimensions). The icon for consolidation units is and for input units .

• To view the units that are not connected to any data types, select No data types. The units that have no data type connections are highlighted in the unit tree.

• To view the whole unit tree (for the selected dimension and year), select All units. In the all units view there is no distinction between consolidation and input units, but the unit type is determined on the data type level.

• You cannot modify the unit tree or any the properties of the units when a data type filter has been selected. The unit properties can only be modified in the All units view.

• When you have selected a data type filter and you change the dimension, the selected year remains, but the hierarchy is restored to the first hierarchy and the filter is removed.
