User Interface Management

Overview of User Interface Management

The tasks that users have access to in the application user interface depend on their licence type and user roles. User roles have rights to user interface “blocks” (UI blocks) which are collections of tasks. The rights to UI blocks can be assigned in the User Role UI management view (see Creating User Interfaces for User Roles).

The user interface management functions are available for users who have administrator rights. For descriptions of the parameters available for task settings, refer to Clausion User Interface Task Parameters.

The user interface management functions are available in the Clausion Desktop Client.

It is not recommended that several users use the same management function at the same time.

Matters that are defined in the user interface task:

  • Location of the task in the navigation tree

  • The task type (for example, input template for 10 000 document series, user management, integration)

  • What selections are predefined, what the user can change, what the user must select

  • Which fixed selections are shown to the user

Example user interface task

In these instructions creating of a user interface task is described with help of an example task available in Clausion FPM.

Parameters in user interface task definitions

You can use global parameters of the type %parameter name% in user interface task definitions. For more information, see Global Parameters.

In Web Client, all dimensions used by input or report templates must be defined visible in the user interface of the template's user interface task. The value of the parameter visible must be 'true'. The value of the enabled parameter can be 'true' or 'false', in other words, the dimension in question can be locked from the users.
